(Senior) Software Engineer (f/x/m)

Your role as a software engineer - helping to shape our spin-off 

As a software engineer, you play a central role in the evelopment of our groundbreaking software solution, whichuses artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically analyze and utilize point clouds from LiDAR scans. Together with our team of software and ML engineers, you actively help shape the product, help with important technological decisions and their implementation. 

  

Your Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the on-going development & optimization of our innovative software solution at the forefront of LiDAR technology 

  • Design, implement, test and rollout of new components, functions and extensions for API services using agile methodology 

  • Collaborate closely with other members of engineering team and team of CAD drafters and contribute to technical decisions 

  • Develop clean, well-documented and reusable code which is easy to understand and maintain 

  

Your Profile 

The following will help you to succeed: 

  • Technical degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or similar 

  • 3+ years of professional experience in developing software applications 

  • Profound knowledge of software development, preferably with Python, C#/.NET 

  • Experience with Python, especially in connection with large data, using Numpy, Pandas, etc. as well as Python web frameworks (Flask, REST) 

  • Familiarity with Linux environments, git, docker 

  • Enthusiasm for getting to know new technologies and questioning the status quo 

  • Proficiency in German (written and spoken) 

  

Ways to stand out: 

  • Experience working with cloud computing infrastructure (AWS, Azure or GCP) 

  • Practical knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) tools and best practices 

  • Experience with SQL and relational databases 

  • Experience with writing automated tests and Python testing frameworks

Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obliged to point out the collectively agreed minimum salary of 3.077 € for this job offer. Your starting salary will be based on your qualifications and position-relevant professional experience. We are open to overpayments. This position is open for applications in Vienna and Linz.
